A flashing yellow light may be seen when driving through the streets. Most of the time, the lights that are seen include stable green, yellow and red which means that those colors stay the same and don’t flash. However, there are some cases when you may see a traffic light, but instead of remaining stable, a yellow light is flashing. If you approach a flashing yellow light, you should be aware of the intersection up ahead.

Usually, this is not an emergency, but instead it is a signal to be careful. The driver should approach the intersection slowly and carefully go through the intersection. The opposing road that crosses the intersection probably has a stoplight or stop signs for the other drivers to stop.
