There are two types of waves that are shorter than visible light. The answers to this question are gamma and ultraviolet rays. Are you familiar with what gamma rays are? These are similar to what you would see in x-rays. Gamma rays are known to be very active radiation which means that if they would pass through certain particles, they will cause the radicals to become charged. Ultraviolet ray or UV ray is something that a lot of people are familiar with.

This comes from the sun and it makes up about 10% of the sun’s rays. UV light is used in order to sterilize different products and materials. People should not become exposed to this too much as it may cause some skin diseases.

There are two waves here that have shorter waves as compared to visible light. The first one is ultraviolet rays and the second one is gamma rays. The ultraviolet rays sometimes allow you to see the many colors in the sky that we see in the form of a rainbow.

These rays are shorter than light but they are longer compared to the rays used in X-rays. Gamma rays are usually considered to be similar to x-rays. The gamma ray is considered to be dangerous especially if it would come in a form of radiation. The gamma ray is also the shortest ray out of all the choices.
