C. Deep in the upper abdomen and is not normally palpable The pancreas is an organ that can be found in the endocrine and digestive system of vertebrates. In the human body, the pancreas is located in the upper abdominal cavity at the back of the stomach. It is about 6 inches in length and is connected to the small intestines (duodenum) through the pancreatic duct.

The pancreas is an important organ in the body. It produces several hormones, such as glucagon, insulin, pancreatic polypeptide, and somatostatin, which is released and circulates in our blood. The pancreas also secretes pancreatic juice which helps in the absorption and digestion of nutrients.
