Sodium carbonate is the name of (Na2C03) the chemical formula.
It contains all forms such as white, water-soluble salts, in which all these forms have a strong alkaline taste and give accurately alkaline solutions in water.

Sodium carbonate is known as soda ash. Also known as washing soda, soda crystal.

It was first extracted from ashes plants growing in sodium-rich soils. It comes with water to form sodium carbonate hydrate, it is odorless and looks like white solid, hygroscopic. It is obtained as three different hydrates and anhydrous.
