A 2.0-kg mass is released from rest at the top of a plane inclined at 20° above horizontal. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the mass and the plane is 0.20.

The correct answer to this question is3/5 m/s.This question is one which would be used in physics and relates to kinetic energy. Mass has an affect on accelaration, which affects speed indirectly. It is used to determine how quickly an object accelerates under the force of action.

Mass is also used to determine how strong a force is to accelerate an object at a rate. The equation for measuring a constant mass is F = ma. This equation is apart of Newtown's Law and it is the second law. F stands for force, M for mass, and a is for acceleration.
