Amidst this pandemic, we all know it's a privilege to see the new year, and we all want to celebrate with all our strength.

However, we should not forget the virus is still around, and we have to follow all preventive measures and movement restrictions.

The best way to celebrate the new year is with your family members because most public places such as club houses, eateries, amusement parks, and so on will not be opened.

You can have a small gathering with your extended family members too; you can have such a party while following the government rules and curfew.

There are still different things that people can do during the pandemic to celebrate New Year. It will be the perfect opportunity to try cooking certain meals that can be served on New Year’s Eve. It will be time to make the home more festive. There are also different hobbies that people can do.

They can come up with their very own New Year’s Resolution so that they will be able to make the right plans throughout the year. There are still some people who do not really care about the virus and they would continue celebrating it the only way that they know that they can. Some would still gather in places and mingle with other people even if it is considered unsafe.

The COVID 19 pandemic has changed our lives in so many ways. Students are being educated from home, adults have lost jobs, and now, we are figuring out how to celebrate holidays in what is seen as our "new normal."

There are many ways to celebrate New Years' to make it as normal as possible. One way is to have a Zoom party with close friends. Through the video chat, you could drink and take turns playing each other's favorite songs while waiting for the ball to drop. Another way to celebrate is to have a socially distanced block party if the weather permits.

The government has relaxed the restrictions following the second wave of the pandemic for five days, which spans through the Christmas period, but the rule does not apply to the New Year. There will be strict rules over public places such as eateries and clubhouses. This literally means that anyone that wants to party hard will have to do it in their house.

There is no rule that states that you shouldn’t party at home, only that you must follow the government’s guidelines. The rule is that there will be a curfew from 10 pm to 6 am, but your guests can have till 11 pm to finish up their drinks.

Eateries too must be closed, but they can do delivery services and takeaway; people are not allowed to eat inside the eatery. Indoor entertainment and relaxation centers will have to be shut down. The government also states that people can have guests in their house but go by the rules.
