There are a lot of people who have gotten interested in Kamala Harris ever since she became elected as the vice president of the United States. First of all, she is the first woman of color to become elected as vice president. She has also represented California in the US Senate back in the year 2017.

Her ancestry is Indian−American which means that she is the first woman to have been elected to a major political party. She has grown up observing different cultures probably because of the things that her family does. Her mother is a cancer researcher. Kamala has started to become interested in learning and exploring new things at an early age.

She attended Howard University in Washington, DC, which was known as one of the historically black schools in the United States. She also made history as the first black woman to become the district attorney in San Francisco.

She got married for the first time at the age of 49 to Douglass Emhoff in California in 2014, although she dated a talk show host Montel Williams.

Kamala Harris was born in 1964 by Donald Harris (father) and Shyamala Gopalan(mother). Her father was an economist professor from Jamaica, and her mother was a physician from India. After her high school education, she attended Howard University where she graduated with a degree in political science and economics. She also studied law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and graduated in 1989. Kamala Harris is the first woman and first African American to become the attorney general of California. With this, she is also the first South Asian American to assume the position of the attorney general in the United States. She started her political career when she contested the US senatorial election in 2016. After winning this election, she became the first Indian American to represent California in the United States senate. However, Harris is currently the first female US vice president-elect.
