There are many rivers that flow throughout the world, but many may not be able to name most by name. However, the Nile River is one river that most people know about. This is because there are many things about the river that make it stand from the rest.

One of those things is that the Nile River is the longest river in the world. Despite many people believing that the Amazon River is longer, the Nile River is, in fact, longer, measuring at 6,650 kilometers long. Another fact about the Nile River is that civilization began at the Nile River, for Egyptians were able to drink from the water and benefit financially from it.

There are a lot of people who would like to know more about the Nile River, probably because this is one of the longest rivers in the world. It is also called the Father of African Rivers, probably because of its size. There are a lot of people who think that the Amazon River can be longer now, but as of now, this is still considered to be the longest river in the world. Another fact that you have to know about this is that it will flow towards the Mediterranean Sea. The Nile River will usually have a discharge that is 3.1 million liters per gallon.
