1. Discover the right formula to use. The formula you will definitely use of you is finding the force of gravity between two objects is F=[G(m1×m2)]/d².

2. Identify what each symbol in your formula stands for. F stands for the force of gravity; m1 represents the mass of the first object, while m2 represents the mass of the second object; then, d stands for the distance between the center of the two objects.

3. Ensure your parameters are represented with the correct metric unit. F is usually in Newton; G is a constant (6.67 × 10^-11); m should be in kilograms, and d should be metered.

4. Substitute your values into the formula. In physics, you will most likely be given the values of the parameters, especially that of masses.

5. Calculate the numerator part of the work first, then calculate them denominator, which is the distance squared. Then do your division.
