When it comes to statistics or the statistical part of mathematics, you talk about mean, standard deviation, standard error, and others. These parameters are actually related to themselves in one way or the other.

Let us check for the calculations of mean, standard deviation, and standard error.

1. To calculate the mean, you have to add the number of values in your table or data together and divide it by the number of values you have. Mean is usually denoted by bar x.

2. To calculate the standard deviation, you will need to refer to variation. Your standard deviation is simply the square root of the variance, which is calculated by adding all the values of the data minus mean, square your result, then divide it by your mean minus one. Standard deviation is usually denoted by S.

3. The standard error is simply the division of standard deviation by the square root of the number of frequencies.
