One method by which you can fix the redundancy check error is by running the CHKDSK utility.

1. Access the check disk (CHKDSK) utility, a built-in utility that is present Windows to scan and repair errors on the drives. Kindly right-click the drive that you want to check, then select the tools option under properties. You will see "error checking" on your interface; click on "check now."

2. The basic scan would be automatically checked. But choose anyone you want to do between the basic check and the advanced check. The basic check will take some minutes, while the advanced check can take hours. The advanced check actually carries out a thorough check than the basic check.

3. Your system would need to reboot it to implement this check. You can actually restart your system.

4. If that method does not work, check the alternate method.

5. Select the command prompt program under accessories.

6. Type "chkdsk /f (the letter of your drive)" and allow the scan to run. It will restart your system when it's done.
