The area of a Trapezoid is very easy to calculate when you know how to go about it, though I won't downplay the fact that calculating it can be very tricky at times.

However, it is important to note that a trapezoid has four sides, and two of these sides are parallel to each other though they are not of the same size.

1. Start by adding the lengths of the two parallel lines together. By adding the lengths of the bases, you will get a single value as the total length of the two parallel sides.

2. The next thing to do is measure the height of the trapezoid. This can simply be done by getting a ruler to measure the distance between the two parallel sides of the trapezoid.

3. Finally, to get the area of the trapezoid, all you need to do is to multiply the height and total length of the two parallel sides.

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two of the sides parallel, they do not have to be equal in length, and the adjacent sides are not parallel and do not have to be equal in length.

There is a formula to be used to calculate the area.

• The parallel sides are called bases

• You can find the area using the base lengths and the height

• If the bases measure 3cm and 8cm and the height is 6cm

• (3 + 8)cm = 11cm add bases together.

• Now measure the height of the trapezoid that happens to be 6cm

• Now multiply the length x height

• (11 x 6)cm = 66 cm

• But wait, there is more

• Next, you have to multiply the product by ½ or divide by 2 to get the actual area

• 66 cm2 / 2 = 33 cm 2

You should know by now that solving for different shapes will require different formulas. The trapezoid may be one of the shapes that you need to compute soon.

These are the steps that you have to do:

• Multiply the different sum of the bases, which means that you need to compute the parallel sides.

• Multiply the height of the trapezoid with the number that you have gotten by multiplying the base.

• Divide the numbers that you have received by 2.

The moment that you have gotten your answer, you can double-check it by computing everything on a calculator. An online calculator will allow you to just place the numbers, and it will do the computation for you.

A trapezoid is one of the shapes that is not considered to be too common. This is a quadrilateral, but only one pair of sides are parallel.

There are instances when you would like to make sure that you will solve for the area of the different shapes that you will come across.

• The formula for a trapezoid is A= a+b/2 h.
• B stands for the base.
• H stands for height.
• A stands for the base.

Take note that the formula will be different when you would like to search for the irregular trapezoid. The formula will be ½ BxH. B means the base, while H stands for height.

A trapezoid is a shape that has four sides. To calculate a trapezoid, you would use the formula A = 1/2(b1 + b2)h. b1 and b2 are the lengths of the bases. H represents the height of the trapezoid.

The following steps can be taken to find the area of a trapezoid.

• First, add the lengths of the bases together.

• Next, measure the trapezoid's height.

• Then, multiply the amount of the bases and the height together.

• From there, multiply the product from the last step by 1/2. This will then give you the final answer, which is the area of the trapezoid.
