Like any polygon, the perimeter is the distance around the outside, which can be found by adding together each side's length. You can write it as a formula: perimeter= a+b+c. A, b and c are the lengths of each side of the triangle.

Equilateral and isosceles triangles: if you have an equilateral triangle where all sides are two inches in length, you add 2 inches+ 2 inches + 2 inches. The result of the perimeter is 6 inches. With an isosceles triangle, two sides will have the identical length, but the third will have a separate length.

In this illustration, two sides are two inches each side, and one side is three inches. You will add 2 inches + 2inches + 3 inches. The result of the perimeter is 7 inches.

The calculation of the perimeter of a triangle is relatively simple.

• A triangle has three sides
• A is one side
• B is the base
• C is the other side
• The equation for this would be
• a + b + c = p (perimeter)
• If each side is 15 cm and the base is 8 cm, the equation would be as follows
• 15cm + 8cm + 15cm = 38cm

There is a big possibility that you would need to calculate the perimeter of a triangle but you do not know how you should begin.

There are certain things that you have to do so that you can solve for perimeter such as the following:

• The formula for solving the perimeter of a triangle is p=a+b+c

• Take note that a means “side.”

• B means “base.”

• C means “side.”

• You can then place the corresponding numbers depending on what is available on the triangle.

With all of these things in mind, you will be able to solve for the perimeter of a triangle easily. Take note that there are also some online calculators that are available that will help you check the answer just in case.

To find the perimeter of a triangle is to find the distance that is around the three-sided shape.

If you need to find the perimeter of a triangle, follow these steps:

• First, know the formula, which is P = a + b + c. P is the perimeter. A, B, and C represent the sides of the triangle

• Find the length of all of the sides of the triangle

• Plug those lengths into the formula.

• Then, add the length of side A, B, and C together. This number will give you your answer, which is the perimeter of the triangle

Calculating the perimeter of a triangle can be a bit complicated especially if you would confuse it with the formulas for computing the perimeter of other shapes. You should first know the formula for the triangle. These are the steps that you have to take.

Calculating the perimeter of a triangle can be a bit complicated especially if you would confuse it
• This is the formula that you have to take: P=a+b+c
• Remember that in a given triangle, these are the different sides that are available and you will label them as a, b, and c.
• Get to know the different numbers that are placed on the sides.
• Remember that you should get to know the different types of triangles as this may help you out a lot.
With all of these things in mind, you will be able to calculate the perimeter of a triangle properly.
