1. You have to first prepare someone to hypnotize: Find a silent and comfortable room. Let them be aware of what hypnosis is all about. Ask him about what he wants to achieve from being hypnotized. Enquire of your partner has had one or more experiences about hypnosis before.

2. Induce a trance state: Speak patiently, calmly, slowly, and in a soothing manner. Help your partner to maintain a regular and steady breathing pattern. Help them to also maintain a fixed gaze on a point. Also, help your partner to release his body from the lower part to the upper part. Encourage your partner to be more relaxed, and gain access to his mental state with the help of his body language and breathing. Make your partner imagine, and walk down a staircase.

3. Have a good knowledge of hypnosis and apply it: It is just a small part of a mental health solution. It can help to envision solutions to problems.

4. Ending the session: Take your partner out of the trance gently, and also discuss the hypnosis process.
