Carpenter bees are known to be very problematic. They have a tendency to create some holes in the various parts of your home, which is how they have gotten their name.

You can always hire professionals to remove them for you, but if in case you would like to do the removal on your own, these are some of the things that you can do:

• You need to slice a citrus fruit.

• Place it in a pot of boiling water for about 10 to 15 minutes.

• The aroma of the citrus fruit will be enough to repel the bees.

• You can place the water in a spray bottle so that you can spray the water on the nest.

• This may be enough to get the carpenter bees away.

Carpenter bees are mostly harmless to humans; however, they can seriously damage wooden structures. Carpenter bees are also pollinators, which means that they are useful to agriculture, and they can even assist in helping your garden flourish.

Many people do see these insects as pests. There are a plethora of ways to eliminate carpenter bees. You can even accomplish this without using insecticides and prevent them from destroying your property.

• Play loud sounds on speakers.

• Carpenter bees have sensitive ears, and they do not like loud sounds.

• Spray infested areas with natural citrus spray.

• Carpenter bees cannot tolerate citrus oil.

• Apply almond oil or essence around the nest to repel them.

• You could place a bee trap near an area of infestation.

• You could use a tennis racket to annihilate the bees when they are most active.

• You could have a beekeeper transfer the bee nest if you don’t want to kill them.
