There is a standard formula to find the area of a circle

• A = πr2

• If the radius is 6 cm

• Square the radius which would be 36

• Then you multiply 36 x Pi (3.14)cm2 = 113.04 cm2

Solving for the area of any shape can be confusing for some people because there are different formulas to look for. This time, you may want to solve for the area of a circle.

To do this, you should follow these steps:

• Learn the formula for the area of a circle which is normally A = π r².

• Once you already know the formula, place all of the corresponding numbers based on the circle that you are trying to measure.

• Take note that if you want to find the diameter of a circle, it is also going to be different, it should be: D = 2 × r.
