An interview thank you letter is very good; it sometimes gives an upper hand in securing that job. Writing a thank-you letter after a bad interview can also show that you have an interest in that job.

A thank you letter after an interview can go like this:

“Thank you for your time and the opportunity to talk about the ----position. It was a pleasure to learn more about your business. The interview made me more excited to join the company and your goal and vision for the company is one major reason I want to be part of this company”.

After this, you can state fantastic things you have done that will help the company’s goal or things that you know that can help the company. Make sure you say thank you again after the letter and sign off.

Let us say that you would like to send a thank you letter to the company that has interviewed you.

* Make sure that you would provide the right contact information, the date when you are sending the thank you letter, the contact details of the person that you are writing to.

*Make sure to provide a greeting. Place the body text that will include all the details that you want to say and do not forget to say thank you.

*One thing to remember: make sure that you will not write more than four paragraphs as people will probably not read the whole note anymore.

*Write a closing remark such as “Sincerely” before signing your name.

It was observed after a survey that every one in five hiring managers usually dismiss candidates who did not send a thank you mail after an interview, while 80% of the hiring manager stated that thank you mail helps them in reaching a final decision.

To write your thank you mail after the interview follows the following steps.

• Create a clear, concise, to the point subject line.

• Open the mail content with a personal greeting. That is, address the HR manager directly by his or her name.

• Since it is a thank you mail. Start the mail with thank you

• Do well to restate your interest in the job you were interviewed for

• Make reference to something you discussed during the interview and make an offer; it could be your skill, work duration, or anything.

• Tell them that you can provide any additional information they need

• Close the mail with a professional sign off.

The following is the appropriate format for writing the letter

• First, greet the employer with their name. You may also include the date the letter was written.
