The most popular agave syrups are called amber and light agave, and agave tends to bring out the natural flavor of food and drinks. Light agave syrup is ideal for coffee, tea, smoothies, ice cream, cake, and other baked goods. It has a mild, neutral flavor, and it adds a little something special in hot drinks, especially. Surprisingly, it may also be tasty on top of salads.

The amber agave syrup is a delicate syrup that has a whisper of vanilla combined with maple syrup's taste. It sort of has a mild caramel flavor as well. The amber agave is tastes good with cereals, waffles, protein drinks, and barbeque sauces. Amber agave is metabolized more slowly in the body, which means it is a smart pick for type II diabetes.

Light agave syrup is not heated for a long time, which means that if you would add it to your recipes, expect that it will not add too much flavor. Amber agave will have a darker color. This means that it has been left in the heat for a longer time as compared to light agave syrup. The taste is also going to be different because it will be sweeter. Amber agave will come with a more vanilla and maple taste, which some people may look for depending on the type of dish that they are doing. Some say that they feel that amber agave will have a more caramel taste.

Agave is a sweetener that is from Mexico. The syrup is a bit sweeter than honey, and it is excellent on top of pancakes, fruits, cottage cheese, and yogurt. The consistency is unique, as it is not too gooey, but it still has the subtle taste of a lighter version of honey. It is also sweeter than sugar, but it is lower in calories, which makes it ideal for people who don’t want to spend their calories on sugar or heavy syrup.

The Agave syrup itself comes from the Blue Agave or the Agave tequila plant. The juice is removed from the core of the agave plant, and it is filtered when heated to create simple sugars. The light agave syrup is processed with less heat but careful filtering, and it brings out the innate flavor of food and drinks. In the light agave, all minerals, colors, and flavors have been extracted, and it has a distinctly mild flavor.

The amber agave syrup has a whisper of vanilla scent, a taste of maple syrup, and it contains a slight flavor of caramel. The amber syrup has the lowest glycemic index when compared to the other agave syrups.

If you are a bit new to agave syrup, you might think that they are the same. This is not true. Light agave syrup is heated less, which means that while it is a sweetener, it will not add its sweet taste to the different recipes that you may want to use it with.

When you use the Amber agave syrup, you know that it will come with a thick flavor. The flavor will also be richer, which means that if you would add it to your recipes, you will normally taste it a bit. When it comes to consistency, Amber Agave Syrup will be thicker while the Light Agave Syrup will not be as thick.

Sweeteners are a great way to add flavor to food. As people want to become healthier, it is better to use natural sweeteners than it is to use those that are chemically processed. Two types of sweeteners that are natural are light agave syrup and amber agave syrup. Both of these are formed from the Blue agave plant. Between the two, the amber agave syrup is processed less than the light agave syrup. The amber keeps its color and minerals, while the light extracts all of those. Another difference between them is in regards to their flavor. Light agave syrup has a light flavor, while amber syrup has a sweeter flavor that resembles vanilla.
