Old immigrants generally came from Northern and Central Europe, namely England and its surrounding territories. Apart from these people, some slaves immigrated to America to seek out prospects and enjoy the freedoms they would not otherwise have. Some other people came to work on the plantations.

Though immigrants were almost from the same region, the chief reason for immigration to the United States was to search for new land. After the first immigrants came into the country, new ones arrived from Eastern and Southern Europe, Italy, Poland, Greece, and Russia.

People from China and Japan also came. New immigrants were looking for better economic opportunities. This mass immigration was because the country began to experience considerable industrial growth after the cold war. There were new and exciting changes on the horizon during this time.

One thing that you should know about the United States of America is that it is composed of different people. There are so many immigrants that can be found in the United States that it has been called the “nation of immigrants.” One difference between the old and new immigrants is that the old immigrants arrived in the United States in the 1800s. The new immigrants arrived in the United States a whole new generation later, which means that it was decades before the new immigrants came. The old immigrants came from the northwestern side of Europe, while the new immigrants have come from the southeastern side of Europe.

Old immigrants mostly came from Northern and Central Europe, especially England and its territories. Slaves also immigrated to the United States because they wanted to obtain work in the plantations. The old immigrants were in pursuit of new land. Most of the people from England felt that the church was not separated enough from the state, and they came to America to find religious freedom.

The old immigrants also came to America in search of a legitimate government, as most of their country experienced autocratic rule. The new immigrants, on the other hand, included people from Eastern and Southern Europe, mostly Italy, Poland, and Russia. People from China and Japan also immigrated to America to seek out more prosperous and superior economic opportunities.

The reason for this is that the country began to have considerable industrial growth after the cold war. The southern and eastern Europe had poor economic conditions such as poverty and unemployment. Since America has been called the land of dreams, they set out to come and find jobs so that their families could survive.

A lot of people can become confused by the differences between old and new immigrants. When you say old immigrants, these are immigrants that may come from Southern and Eastern Europe. These are people who are normally educated, and they are wealthy.

They have immigrated to the United States in order to enhance whatever skills they already have. New immigrants are those who come from Northern and Western Europe. These are immigrants who are usually poor.

They may not have a lot of skills available, and they usually go to America to try having a better life from the one that they used to live. Some of them may go to America because they would like to escape their problems.

Immigrants are when people come from one country to another. There are two ways to describe immigrants from the 1880s, which are simply called old and new immigrants. Old immigrants are those that came before the year 1880. New immigrants are those that came between the years of 1880 and 1910. Both of these types of immigrants came from parts of Europe. Old immigrants came from the western and northern parts of Europe, while new immigrants came from the southern and eastern parts of Europe. Another difference between them is related to their beliefs. Old immigrants were Protestant, while new immigrants were mainly Catholic and Jewish.
