Human capital is a term that pertains to the people or the workforce who are available for various jobs. Labor is the work that people do. In economic terms, labor is the extent of the work that is done by human beings. Labor can also be the capacity to do work. Labor involves both physical as well as mental work.

Human capital also refers to the knowledge, experience, and ability of people to perform labor. Factors like formal education and training are essential regarding human capital, which is very much required for any business's function.

A business's success relies on human capital, and, as such, all business firms participate in human capital for grooming good laborers. In labor, productivity and skills differ from person to person. Labor is said to be cumulative of all physical and mental effort, which is used to create goods and services.

Labor and human capital are two different terms, but that doesn't mean they are not interrelated. The term human capital is used to refer to the people who are available for different kinds of job opportunities. The term labor refers to the work that is done by the workforce. The term labor is not limited to physical work, mental work is also under labor. Human capital has a lot to do with the ability, knowledge, and competence of people to handle all kinds of work. Training, formal education, and other factors are usually considered in human capital. This is because the various operations of a business are performed by people, and there's a need to select competent and capable hands. Labor also refers to the effort, either physical or mental, expended on a particular task. The knowledge of these two terms will help any business that hopes to make more profit.

You would use the term “human capital” when you are referring to the people that can be hired in order to do different jobs. There are people who have different specialties and skills depending on the type of job that they would like to have. When you say “labor,” you are referring to the type of work that has been exerted by people. One of the misconceptions of people is assuming that labor is only physical work. Labor is also considered to be the type of work that can be provided by those who would need to use their minds hours every day just to get some work done.

Human capital is the type of term that will be used when there are some people that are available for different types of jobs. For example, there are some jobs that would need workers. The company would definitely need human capital in order to switch those jobs.

Labor is known to be the type of work that people would need to do so that they will be able to accomplish their tasks. Do remember that labor does not necessarily mean that this is limited to physical work. There are instances when people would also need to do mental work and this would still be considered as labor.
