When you say Siberian ginseng, this is a type of ginseng that you may find similar to Korean ginseng. The root of the Siberian ginseng is considered to be the most important part as this is used for medicinal purposes. One difference between the two is they belong to different families. The Siberian ginseng belongs to the Eleutherococcus family as compared to the Panax family where Korean ginseng belongs.

The Siberian ginseng is considered to be an adaptogen which means that it can improve your overall immunity so that you can become stronger and healthier. Korean ginseng, on the other hand, would take longer before it can be used. It would need to be grown for over six years before it would be deemed suitable to use.

Siberian ginseng and Korean ginseng are two varieties of ginseng. Siberian ginseng is also known as Panax Ginseng, while Korean ginseng is also known as eleuthero. One of the major differences between the two is that Korean ginseng belongs to the Eleutherococcus genus, while Siberian ginseng belongs to the genus Panax. Unlike Siberian ginseng that is commonly found in Siberia, Korean ginseng is found mostly in Korea, as well as in some parts of China.

Another major difference between Siberian ginseng and Korean ginseng is that both do not contain the same active substances. For instance, while there are active ingredients known as ginsenosides in Korean ginseng, Siberian ginseng does not have these substances.

However, the active ingredients in Siberian ginseng are known as eleutherosides. Another difference is the time or period it takes before the two can be harvested. While it usually takes Korean ginseng a period of 5 to 9 years before it can be harvested, it doesn't take this long for Siberian ginseng.
