Squash and racquetball may be confusing in the beginning but the more that you know details about these two sports, the more that you can decide which one you like more. In Squash, the ceiling is already out of bounds but in Racquetball, the ceiling is not out of bounds.

It is also required for players of Racquetball to bounce the balls on the floor first before they would serve but this is not something that you are supposed to do when you play Squash. You are also going to do more running around when you are playing Squash as compared to Racquetball which is why some people joke that you are in better condition when you are a Squash player.

Squash and Racquetball are two different sports. Major difference between the two games is rachet used in playing them. A squash ball is smaller at 4cm in diameter, and it is also not made out of plastics, while the racquetball is 2.25 inches in diameter.

A rachet court can be indoor or outdoor. It is usually 40× 20 feet with a height of about 20 feet, while on the other hand, the squash court has several outlines marked at the top of the court along with a special line on the front wall at the height of 19 inches from the floor.

In squash, you must allow your opponent to hit the front wall directly, but when compared to racquetball, you can allow only limited freedom to your opponent to hit only part of the front wall.

Squash and raquetball are two types of sports that can be played. One of the main differences between them is the size of the racket that is used in each sport. Squash rackets make use of a longer racket. The racket is normally 27 inches long. Racquetball rackets are smaller in size. They are about 22 inches long.

Along with the size of the racket, these two sports differ in the size of the ball that is used. Between the two, racquetballs are bigger in size. They will have a 6cm diameter. Squash balls are smaller and they have a 4cm diameter.

Squash and racquetball may look very similar, but it does not mean they are the same as there are a lot of differences between the two. A good check at their origin shows that racquetball is a more recent sport, unlike squash that has been around since 1830.

Another difference between squash and racquetball is that both use different courts. This means the dimension of the court used for squash is different from that of racquetball. For instance, a standard racquetball court is 40 feet long, 20 feet high, and 20 feet wide. On the contrary, a standard squash court is 32 feet long, 18 feet high, and 21 feet wide.

When you compare the kind of racket used for each sport, squash rackets are longer than racquetball rackets. The size of the balls used in the two is another differentiating feature. Racquetballs are bigger than squash balls, especially when you compare their diameter.

One of the major differentiating differences between Squash and racquetball is the size of rackets used in the two sports. Squash rackets usually have the maximum length of 27 inches, while racquetball rackets come with the maximum length of 22 inches meaning the former is bigger than the latter when you compare the length of the rackets used in the two sports.

Another clear-cut difference between squash is the size of the ball used in the two sports. Here, a racquetball ball is bigger than a squash ball, with the former having a diameter of 6cm and the latter with a diameter of 4cm. Although, both squash and racquetball use rubber ball, a racquetball is elastic, whereas a squash ball is not.

The dimension of a squash court is 32 feet by 21 feet by 18.5 feet, while the dimension of a racquetball court is 40 feet x 20 feet by 20 feet. In professional tournaments, the maximum points you can have for squash and racquetball are 11 and 15 points, respectively.

Racquetball employs the use of a racquet, which can be up to 55.88 cm in length having a tear-drop stringed area. Squash also uses racket, though not just to be different. In terms of the ball, both the racquetballs and squash balls are rubber and hollow.

Although squash balls are smaller than racquetballs by 42% in the diameter, they are also less bouncy. Squash owes its name to the mischievous school kids who observed that a punctured Racketball usually ‘squashes’ on impact, which makes it hard to hit. In squash, you must permit your opponent to hit the front wall directly, while in racquetball, you can just allow only limited freedom to the opponent to hit only a part of the front wall.

Unlike racquetballs, Squash games are scored up to 9 points and 11 in professional tournaments, while racquetball matches are scored up to 15 points. More so, serving styles are distinct in both games.
