If you are not too familiar with these things, these are languages that people may use. The main difference is how widely they are spoken. Between the two, Kannada is spoken more in Karnataka. Kannada has been derived from the Kannada script which has already evolved from its first version as the 50th-century script of Kadamba. In the state of Tamil Nadu, Tamil is spoken more.

The people who usually speak Kannada are called Kannadigas. While those who speak Tamil are also known as Tamilians. Some would refer to Tamilians as Dravidians. These Dravidian languages are considered Southern languages. Another language that is also used in the Southern side is Telugu but Tamil and Kannada are considered to be more similar to each other.

All over the world, there are many languages that can be spoken. Many times the language is dependent upon the family that a person grows up in and the region they live in. Two of the many languages spoken in the world are Kannada and Tamil. Kannada is spoken in the area of Kamataka.

This language has been influenced by different groups of people, such as the people in Pali and Prakrit. Tamil is a language spoken by those in Tamil Nadu. This language has been influenced by the different dialects of Dravid and Sanskrit. These two languages are also written differently.

Kannada is known to be the type of language that people normally speak in Kamataka. The language of people who are staying in Tamil Nadu is called “Tamil.” There are different dialects that are available in India. There are even instances when people in India are not too familiar with the other available dialects.

The Kannada has been influenced by Prakrit and Pali. The influences of Tamil is different. This dialect has been inspired by Sanskrit and Dravid. The way that they are written is also different depending on the script of the languages. The main reason why they are usually compared to each other is they are both southern Dravidian languages.

Kannada language and Tamil language have found their place among the twenty-two languages which were listed in the Republic of India National Constitution. Both of them are languages that share huge similarities and are from the Dravidian family of languages. The majority of people in Karnataka speak Kannada, while Tamil is a language spoken in Tamil, Pondicherry, and Nadu in India.

Tamil is also the official language in Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Malaysian countries. Both Kannada and Tamil share a resemblance with the Malayalam language, but Tamil is very much close to Malayalam than Kannada, to the extent that it was a dialect of Tamil language even till the 9th century.

The Tamil language is largely influenced by Dravid and Sanskirt, while the Kannada language is actually influenced by the Prakrit and Pali languages. The Tamil language is basically written in the Tamil script, while the Kannada language is also written in the Kannada script.
