Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service by Google, which makes it trusted by its users, consisting of millions of people. Google Drive offers 15 GB of user storage, shared over Google Drive, Gmail, and other places.

Google Drive utilizes cloud storage and includes the use of Google Docs, sheets, and slides. Dropbox, on the other hand, has become quite popular in its usage. Dropbox offers 2 GB of storage for free but permits users to expand their storage by 500 MB more each time they get the word out to a potential user. DropBox also recently decreased the cost of paid plans to match those of Google Drive.

Storing files in the cloud are becoming more popular as compared to storing in offline servers because of its advanced convenience features. Two of the more popular cloud storage options are Google Drive and Dropbox. Google Drive is a cloud storage software developed by Google that allows users to store, share, and access their files anywhere just by logging in to their Google account.

It offers a 15GB upfront free storage, and users may pay a premium if they want additional storage. Dropbox is another cloud storage software that allows users to save, share, sync files on their servers. As compared to Google, they only give 2GB upfront free storage, but users may increase their storage by increments of 500MB by recommending the service to their friends. When they max out the recommendations, they can have as much as 19GB worth of free storage.

Dropbox and Google Drive are cloud-based storage, and Dropbox is courtesy of the Microsoft Corporation, while Google Drive is courtesy of Google. Cloud storage is climbing sky-high, as its popularity increases, it makes file sharing even more comfortable than before.

Both Dropbox and Google Drive are offering free storage space as well as paid storage space that can be purchased by its users. Google Drive helps 30 different types of files, while Dropbox does not have this luxury. Google Drive has the capacity of viewing files without having to install anything; Dropbox needs additional file installations to carry out the task. When talking about using file support, Google Drive is much better than dropbox
