Roxicet and Oxycodone are both similar in functions, but their differences start to show when you compare the composition of the two drugs. The active substances in the two drugs are the major determinants of their efficacy. Both are pain-relieving medications, but the active ingredients of Roxicet are oxycodone and acetaminophen, while the active ingredient of oxycodone is oxycodone itself.

The reason it has the same name as its active ingredient is that it is a generic drug, while the roxicet is the trade name of this drug. With the inclusion of acetaminophen in the roxicet, it is a no-brainer that it will add to the health benefits or the efficacy of the drug.

Although both are used to relieve moderate to severe pain, the roxicet has been tested to work better than oxycodone. Another difference is that oxycodone is the older of the two. However, it is important to note that both medications come with some side effects, just like every other drug.

Most people will know this medication by its name of Oxycodone.

Roxicet is a brand name for Oxycodone. It is used to treat mild to severe cases of pain. Roxicet is not the only brand of Oxycodone. Other brands of this medication include Percocet and Endocet. Roxicet and Oxycodone are both pain relievers, but one of the major differences between the two is their capacity or ability to effectively suppress pain. While Roxicet is a trade name, Oxycodone is a generic drug. While the main active ingredients of Roxicet are acetaminophen and oxycodone, the main active ingredient of Oxycodone is oxycodone.

Although, Roxicet is a newer drug compared to Oxycodone, the use of acetaminophen as one of its active ingredients has made it more powerful than Oxycodone. It is important to note that both drugs have certain potential adverse effect, which is why Roxicet is contraindicated for those with liver problems, and must not be taken if you drink alcohol beverages.

This is because the acetaminophen in the drug can destroy the liver. Also, Oxycodone is contraindicated for those with asthma. Aside these little differences, both drugs work perfectly for moderate to severe pain. However, both drugs can be bought over the counter.
