There are different types of muscles that can be found all over the body, and they come with different functions. The cardiac muscles are the type of muscles that can be found in the area of the heart. They are usually involuntary, which means that they can move on their own depending on what the heart needs.

The smooth muscles are located near the different visceral organs except for the heart because this is where the cardiac muscles can be seen. Their appearance is also different.

Smooth muscles will look like spindles, while cardiac muscles will look like they are striated. Smooth muscles will also be involuntary.
