EOI stands for expression of interest; it is also known as registration of interest. It is used as a screening process in the initial stages of procurement. When a company releases its expression interest, it is to estimate the ability of the market to supply or collect more information before moving an RFT. It also gives rise to tough competition and also provides the befit of allowing potential suppliers.

REP stands for request for proposal; it is a document that can be easily be modified. It is used when a purchaser is looking for a solution based response to fulfill its requirement. A request for a proposal contains the background information on the organization and also the line of business. Lastly, the request for a proposal has either a single-stage, or it can have multiple stages.

It is important that you know the different processes so that you will understand what they are for. When you say EOI, this means Expression of Interest. This is the type of formal registration wherein the University that is asking for it will be given the goods and services that it is asking for.

Take note that there are different stages that the EOI would need to go through before it can be formalized. When you say RFP, this stands for Request for Proposal. This is a type of invitation that will be given to suppliers wherein the bidding process is important. There can be one stage or different stages depending on what will occur.
