Facebook and Google are two of the most popular sites on the web. These are two of the biggest and most successful internet giants. Google was created in 1998. It specializes in internet search functions. When you think of Google, you usually think about a quality search engine.

Google has also branched out and, as it contains email, video sharing, office productivity, and online mapping. Google has now added mobile phones to the list, namely smartphones. Facebook was created in 2004, and it is primarily a social networking website.

When it came out, it was unstoppable, as it dominated My Space (another social networking site) and wiped them clear off the map. With Facebook, users can post their status, edit profiles, and notify friends. Sharing media is also allowed on Facebook. You must set up and account and register to use Facebook, though the process is a relatively painless one.
