In order to understand the difference between the two, you need to know what these two things mean. When you say TFT, this stands for Thin-Film Transistor. LCD, on the other hand, will mean Liquid Crystal Display. These are the terms that are used so that you can describe the screen of your television set or even your monitor.

If you would compare the brightness of the two, TFT will definitely be brighter compared to the LCD. If you are searching for something that will consume less power and can still be viewed even from different angles, the LCD is the better choice between the two. The TFT is the type that you should get when you want something that will run faster.
