High Blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension, affects about 3 million people worldwide each year. This condition is when the force of blood is too high against the artery walls. High Blood pressure is treated with medicine and there are two main types of medication that are used, which are Amlodipine and Amlodipine Besylate.

There are not many differences between these two drugs, because they are both used to treat the same condition. One of the only differences between these two medications is that Amlodipine besylate has calcium in it, which qualifies the medication has a calcium blocker.
