Lawyers practice law. They can have different types of interest, depending on the side they are on, for they may defend a client or work to prosecute a client. Barrister and solicitor are two types of lawyers. They differ in their duties, for barristers argue cases in front of judges.

They also prepare arguments to present to the court. The duties of a solicitor are to prepare the initial amount of paperwork. Things they draw up include wills and work with investigations. Another difference between them is where they work. Barristers work in the courtroom, while Solicitors work in office locations.
