The filly is a young horse that is less than three years old. A filly is sexually matured from the age of two, they are not bred until they have stopped growing. From the age of two, a filly can be trained for racing
A mare is defined as an adult horse aged five years or older.

Mares are bred and they are their babies for 11 months. A mare can produce foals until their twenties. It can also be used for horse racing. Mares are intelligent, courageous, and also very easy to handle during horse racing. Most mares are anxious when they are separated from their foals.
