There is a lot of confusion between the terms crystal and mephedrone.
Crystals can be defined as a structure, object, or material that are crystalline or crystal-like. Crystal is usually cheap, but this usually depends on the type of crystal involved.

The structure of the crystal can be classified into seven groups, which include Triclinic, Monoclinic, Orthorhombic, Tetragonal, Trigonal, Hexagonal, and Cubic. An example of a cheap crystal is the ordinary rock salt, and an example of an expensive crystal is a diamond.

Mephedrone is a form of a drug that is marketed in a variety of forms like capsules, pill form, tablet; the most popular form is mephedrone crystals. It looks like a plain old sugar crystal. Mephedrone is a controlled medication in some countries, and it also illegal in some countries. Lastly, mephedrone is a stimulant, just like amphetamine.
