Schizophrenia can be defined as a mental disorder which is basically characterized mainly by acts such as hallucination, or delusion, and most of the times disorganized speech while schizoaffective on the other hand is a kind of disorder which has manifestations that are very similar to schizophrenia, the bipolar disorder, and autism. Schizophrenia has been discovered in the human body as early as in the year 1908, while schizoaffective disorder, in contrast, was discovered later than the schizophrenia; it was discovered about twenty-five years later during the year 1933. Schizophrenia can actually be easily treated with typical antipsychotic drugs, which are drugs that instill mental balance and stillness in human beings.

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that is quite common, with more than three million reported cases in the US yearly. It is characterized by delusions, disorganized speech, behavior, and hallucinations. It is more frequent in males than females and usually presents for ages 18 through 35. If you have a family history of this illness, it may increase your likelihood of having this illness, and the actual cause is not known, abnormal function of neurotransmitters such as dopamine can cause this.
