There are different drinks that you will encounter and you may not immediately know which one you want. One main difference between the two is the distillation process that they have to go through. The single malt whiskey will be produced and will be bottled in one single distillery.

A blended scotch will be a bit different. This will be a mixture of malt and grain whisky which means that the flavors will be a bit different from a single malt. A lot of people say that the obvious advantage of the single malt is that it is meant to taste better as compared to the double whiskey. Still, some people like the bitterness that a double whiskey can offer.
