One thing that you should know is that a gorilla is considered to be a type of ape. An ape is known to have four main species. Aside from the gorilla, the three other main species are orangutans, and there are two different varieties of chimpanzees, the pygmy and common chimpanzee.

Gorillas have a very distinct look. They usually have large heads, and they have small ears. Their beady eyes may not immediately be seen. Apes are considered as primates, but they do not have tails as compared to how the first version of the animal may have been available in the beginning.

The gorilla is known to be the largest living ape that is available in the world right now.
