First of all, android happens to be a mobile operating system which basically been generally accepted and used throughout the world. Whereas, HTC is just one of those companies manufacturing mobile phones using the android operating system. Android was introduced into the market in the year 2008 and afterward leapfrogged and took the lead.

Although android had been developed since the year 2005 by android incorporated. After which Google Inc purchased the package and released it as an open source to the public on the 21st October, 2008. Android also has its own community of applications development, which has really played an important role in making the package well preferred by people.

On the other hand, HTC is just a telecommunications company that is responsible for manufacturing many of the innovative Smartphone that are used nowadays. In the first instance, this company was walking tirelessly on incorporating the windows phone 7 (WP7), but they ended up settling for the Android operating system in the year 2009.
