Abacus is an ancient method of counting; it is an ancient tool use for mathematical calculations. Abacus is the older version of the computer. It has been in existence since 3000 AD; when making calculation with the fingernail and toenail became a problem, it was founded in Babylon on the island of salamis. The original abacus was made up of stones, beads, metal, beads, or wood.

The computer is a modernized abacus, the arithmetic process of abacus led to the development of computers. However, the computer gives us accurate solutions than the abacus process. A computer is an electronic machine that processes data for information; it contains a CPU that is responsible for the calculations and logic operations. The first computer was produced by Charles Babbage.

Abacuses are old tools that were around before the advent of the computer. The original abacuses were made of stone, wood, or metal with stone to symbolize the numbers. Modern abacuses are created from bamboo or wooden frame with wooden beads to represent the number. Generally, an abacus is a tool used to assist the user in conquering math equations.

The abacus has often been used to play a significant role in the development of computers. A computer, on the other hand, is a general-purpose tool that can be programmed to facilitate a fixed set of operations or commands. No one is without access to a computer these days, as it is one of our primary ways of communicating these days, second only to mobile phones. Computers are also used to store files, transfer documents, remove documents, transfer data from one person to another, and to send and receive information to and from other devices.

Abacus and computers are two different devices or machines that are brought about by technological advancements. The two help in solving calculations, but one is of far more useful than just that -which is the computer. However, the abacus was first discovered before the inventory of computers, majorly used for counting in those days. It is an ancient machine. Abacus happened to be the devices that actually inspired the making of computers, which are generally used nowadays.

Abacus is still very much in use today, but it is used mostly in schools in mathematics subjects to aid the teaching of children in counting. However, a computer is used in almost every field nowadays. It is the most useful modern machine to man as at this present time, and almost everybody makes use of it every day. Charles Babbage takes the credit of inventing abacus with the use of stones and beads on metal, stone, or wooden tablets. Meanwhile, the computer is simply an electronic device that processes data to obtain reasonable information.
