HV40 and HV30 are two camcorders from Canon that belongs to the XIVIA line. HV 40 is the most recent model. The most advantageous feature of this camcorder is 24p capability. 24p is the characteristic to which movie fans especially are drawn. When using 24p, it has the feeling of the old classic films. It captures motion the same way that movie film does.

This enhancement is good news for those who have the HV40 because not all external devices sync to 30p. HV40 also has a custom key that can be found on the side of the camcorder. With the custom key, you may affect with just a single click of a button. HV40 appears to provide better functionality. Other than these variables, the HV40 and HV30 are almost the same.
