Mbps and MBPS are two types of internet speeds. It is very easy to confuse the two because the only difference between them is the capital B in one and the lowercase B in the other. MBps stands for megabytes per second. Mbps stands for megabits per second. The Mb with the lowercase b is used to refer to speeds in uploading and downloading. MB with capitol B refers to file size. It can also refer to the amount of data that is transferred. Depending on a person's internet connection, the speeds of MBPS and Mbps will change. The amount of data being transferred can also determine the speed.

One megabyte is equal to eight megabits. This means that megabits can be used to make sure that the speed of the internet connection will be fast enough. Megabytes, on the other hand, will make sure that the size of the file or the storage space will be available. One megabit per second is known to be slow, although this is still the usable type of internet.

One megabit will be enough to load different web pages. There are also some that will use one megabyte in order to use a minute of music. This can also be used to enjoy a 30-second video. You need to know how many megabytes you are using, especially if you are using metered data.
