A lot of people know that the English language can be a bit complicated especially when you do not know exactly how to use it. There are some who may become confused with “my” and “mine” and when they should use these terms. “My” is known to be the type of possessive pronoun that is normally used with a noun.

For example, you can say “My mom.” My is the possessive pronoun and mom is the noun. You will definitely use the word “mine” without any corresponding nouns. For example, you may say, “The baseball bat that I left at the park is MINE.”
