Flour is known to be one of the versatile ingredients that people normally use when they are baking or even cooking. A lot of food products would require the use of flour. Take note that flour will contain a certain amount of protein that the body may need although there are different types of flour that are available.

Self-rising flour is a type of flour that can be used whenever there are recipes that would require this to be used. You cannot use this as a substitute for flour. Self-rising flour is flour mixed in with baking soda and salt. This will allow the food to rise if it needs to.
