The term quote and quotation are often considered to be the same thing. When you say quote, this can be the short term for “quotation.” A quotation may refer to an inquiry about the cost of a service or an item that a customer may be interested in. Take note that quotation can also be used in order to describe a group of words that are meant to provide the meaning that you are searching for.

The term “quote” can also be used to describe a group of words that are meant to provide the meaning that people may need. Usually, you will say that quotation can be used to describe some words that may come from other people.
