Electrical and electronics are two terms that seem closely related, but they are actually different from each other. Electrical and its appliances can be said to be directly related to electricity. While electronics too are related to electricity, but not that closely related to electrical and its appliances.

Capacitors and resistors are good examples of electrical devices, while thermostat and many home appliances are good examples of electronics. Electrical in its English term and meaning is an adjective, which simply refers to that it "pertains to" electricity. On the other hand, electronics in its English term is a noun, of which they have already finished works that need electricity function.

Things pertaining to electrical are still electrical in nature, whereas, things many electronics are mechanical devices. You can perform some works, like making things happen with electrical appliances. But electronics, most times, need electrical performances to function.
