Just in case you are not familiar with these two, these are known to be reactions that may occur. You will get an idea of what these reactions are based on their names. Let us break down the word so that you can get a better understanding of what they are. When you say “thermic,” this means heat. This means that the reactions have something to do with heat. When you say “endo,” this means inside.

This means that an endothermic reaction is something that happens on the inside. When you say “Exo,” this means outside. Therefore, an exothermic reaction is something that occurs outside. One example of an endothermic reaction is cooking because the food will get cooked based on the heat that will be applied to it from the inside.
