Some people assume that billiards and pool are the same, but there are some differences that you should know more about. When you say billiards, this means that you are playing a certain tabletop game. You would need to use a cue stick and a cue ball in order to play the game properly.

When you say pool, this is also a tabletop game, but this time, you are going to play a game that comes with pockets. In the past, billiards was only used to describe a game that was originally called “Carom billiards,” but it became obvious later on that people were using the term for any tabletop game.
