Have you ever wondered how come red and white wine are different from each other? White wine has gotten its appearance because of the use of white grapes. The white grapes may come from different vineyards and it is said that the taste may differ depending on where the grapes come from.

Red wine is created using dark red or black grapes which is why it has gotten its red color. With white wine, the skin is normally removed when the grapes are being fermented.

For red wine, the skin of the grapes is left during the process which is why red wine may have a slightly bitter taste. Take note though that it would still depend on the types of red/white wine what the taste of the wine is going to be.

Red and white wine is considered universally classy and refined by people all over the world. Red wine has a reputation for its sophistication. Red wine is made from red grapes causes red coloring. Red wine is prepared by mashing the grapes before fermentation and permits the yeast to reach the pulp inside the grapes.

Red wine is known to have many antioxidants, and one is called resveratrol is said to have cardioprotective elements. It is said that drinking red wine once a week can be beneficial to the heart. White wine has a much lighter and has a less potent taste than red wine. White wine often pairs well with cheese and fruit to bring out the taste of the light-bodied white wine.

However, white wine may not possess as many beneficial cardioprotective chemicals that red wine has. White wine does not use as many grape skins during preparation. However, white wine contains antibacterial and antiaging properties.
