Aortic Sclerosis and Aortic Stenosis are two different terms that have to do with the heart. The two terms actually have the word "aortic" in them, but sclerosis simply refers to a situation whereby the tissue is hardened or including other anatomical functions, while stenosis refers to an act whereby a blood vessel is getting narrowed abnormally.

These two terms have to do with the aorta, the largest artery that is responsible for the transportation of blood through the body. Aortic sclerosis thus represents a medium whereby the heart vessel is being thickened, while aortic stenosis explains a medium whereby the arterial valves are being narrowed within the heart.

These unpleasant processes are found through echocardiograms and are seen more among obese patients and grown adults. If these occurrences are not well monitored and mastered in time, they can result in a heart attack or heart failure. However, patients that are diagnosed with the two are prone to die fast if they suffered any sort of heart ailments.

Some medical terms are hard to understand, especially when they all sound the same way. Aortic sclerosis is the term that is used in order to describe when the valve thickens, but there is no difference with the valve. This means that the valve is working properly. When you say aortic stenosis, this also means that the valve has thickened, and the valve has also tightened.

This signifies that the heart has to work harder than usual to ensure that it will be able to provide the type of blood circulation that the body needs in order to work. This can be hard when the heart has to work harder because it may become overworked and suddenly stop, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
