The black iridium and warm grey lenses are two sunglass lenses that are similar to each other. They are ideal for activities in very bright environments like fishing or skiing under a cloudless sky. Their major difference is how they achieve their light-blocking properties.

Warm grey lenses achieve the light-blocking through the construction and transparency of glass while on the other hand black iridium lenses achieve the light-blocking by from the layer of iridium that is applied to the glass lens. Black iridium performs better in the higher end of the spectrum when the light is extremely bright when compared to a warm grey.

A black iridium lens has an additional coating while the warm grey does not. Black iridium is mostly used in midday and under direct sunlight while warm grey is mostly used early in the morning and late afternoon.

The main difference between the two is their ability to block light. Black Iridium lenses will come with an additional coating which means that it will have the ability to block light more. This will make it very useful. Warm gray lenses will not have any additional coating.

You are more likely to use black iridium when you want to block off more light. For example, you know that you would be exposed to more light which means that black iridium will be used. Warm gray lenses will be perfect for you when you are going to use sunglasses when the conditions are not so bright.

Black Iridium and Warm Grey Lenses look quite similar to each other, and the main difference between them is the way they achieve their light-blocking properties. The warm grey lens is able to achieve its light-blocking ability through the transparency and construction of the glass. When it comes to the black iridium lens, it is able to achieve its own light-blocking ability due to the application of the iridium layer to the lens of the glass.

These two lenses are good for use under a cloudless sky or very bright environment to eliminate glare and enhance a better functionality of the eyes even in this condition. They are a bit similar as they both allow just 10 percent light to pass through them, and they both have the same index of 3 as value.

The black iridium lens is more suitable to be used under direct sunlight or during midday. However, if you want to use sunglasses for some activities like driving, then the warm grey lens would be more suitable as it would allow you to see clearly and still provide you with the needed ample glare protection.
