Alfresco, either the Alfresco Community Edition or the Alfresco Enterprise Edition, is used as an enterprise content management system. Both are designed to help companies manage their information and also to help them structure their unstructured data or information. With Alfresco, you will have the information stored in a manner that will help you have easy access to whatever information you have stored.

Alfresco is very effective in helping organizations store their information at a low cost since it is an open-source system. On the other hand, the share is also a part of the Alfresco system. The only difference between Alfresco and share is that share is a browser-based application, and it is a very important part of Alfresco, which makes to be more effective, most importantly when it comes to social content management. Alfresco deals with the overall operation of the system, whereas share, is mostly used for sharing information.
